Soooo everyone i know seems to be succumbing to blogging... so i guess i will give it a try! ;) For starters we just relocated to Salt Lake City, Utah this past October. My husband was offered an AMAZING job opportunity! We were very sad to leave all our family and friends, but we will return to good 'ol AZ someday! So far our adventure here has been decent. We absolutely LOVE our ward, the bishop is phenomenal! And the women in the ward have been so accepting to me and my daughter! We do play dates every Wed. morning and morning walks on Mon, Wed, Fri. Most of the other children are close in age with Dakota so she always has a blast! We have had some SERIOUS issues with our town home... it was not move-in-ready when we got here and there were quite a few things that needed to be fixed. The major thing was that we had no hot water for like 2 weeks (in the dead of winter in Utah) not fun. Then we had some major issues with our outlets.. they were sparking and the cords would hang loose. We pestered the landlord for MONTHS! and finally come Feb. they fixed the outlets, but only after they caused a small fire in my daughter's bedroom. We have a new landlord now and things have been a million percent better!
Onto better things... Mark and I have both received callings! He is in charge of home-teaching for the elders quorum and I and i am in the primary presidency. It has been such a blessing in our lives to get callings... it has really made us feel like we belong in Utah and we have been able to keep ourselves busy with things rather than wishing we were in AZ! Dakota is growing so fast! She is literally ALL OVER THE PLACE! She climbs on the sofa all by her self now, she is very good about not playing on the stairs, and she is trying to learn how to open doors. She is also learning so many words! She knows quite a few animal sounds, she can say baby, dada, mama, duckie, good bye, what's that, she trys to count to 3, ann she says baba for bottle. It seems everyday she is learning something new!
We are also excited for our trip to AZ the end of May! Some of our very close friends are getting married and we figured why not just stay the whole week! So we are counting down the days till we leave to see everyone! I hope you enjoyed the small update!
